Last week XXX Tentacion’s team posted a photo combining X and Juice Wrld’s faces. This of course sparked a ton of buzz considering X’s team does not post much and the last post on his account is from May of 2018. This whole situation confused fans because as of me writing this, which is 10:30 am the morning after the photo was released, Juice’s team has yet to post anything about it. This also comes with some surprise because Juice’s team is much more active on his Instagram than X’s.

This all begs the question, is there an X and Juice collab on the way? If I were to put money on it I would say no and to be honest I’m not sure if I would want new music with the both of them. Sure it would probably sound cool having them on a track together, but there is no public knowledge that they ever were in the studio or even made any sort of song together while they both were alive.

I made a TikTok about the whole thing right after they posted it (I’ll link it below). In it I said that something about taking unreleased X and Juice vocals and combining them just doesn't sit right with me. I think both artists were incredible but at this point just let the music that is out speak for itself.

I know that there is a ton of stuff going on with Lil Peep and his team right now and I don't know enough to comment on that situation because it seems there’s a lot to unpack, but I think the way they handled releasing music after Peep passed was perfect. His team released “Come Over When You’re Sober, Pt. 2” around a year after his passing but from what we knew the album was pretty much done while he was still alive. Since his passing, whoever is managing Peep’s music is doing a great job because Peep was known for having multiple fan favorite songs and projects on SoundCloud. Fans get excited when Peep’s team announces they will be releasing a song/project that was exclusively on SoundCloud on all streaming platforms. There have been very few times that new Peep music has come out, but when it has it usually comes with the context being that the project was made with one of his friends years ago but it just never saw the light of day.

The point I’m making with all this is although we would all love to hear X and Juice together on a track, it probably won't and shouldn't happen. What would be cool is making a t-shirt with both of them (and Peep if they could) commemorating their deaths and impacts on music. The money could go to charity or to their families but I think that would make a lot more sense than to try making a collab between them that just never happened.

What do you guys think?
